VPN laws and age-verification tracker
VPNs are legal in most countries. Since 2025, many places have added age checks that changed how people use them, and a few countries restrict or block VPN traffic. Each page shows the current status, a dated timeline and primary sources. We check every page at least every 30 days.
Not legal advice. This page summarizes public laws, regulations and official statements as of the date shown, with sources. Laws change and enforcement varies. If you use a VPN to break the law or a service's terms, that is your responsibility. Check local rules before you rely on anything here.

How the tracker is maintained
Every law page cites legislation, regulators or court documents as primary sources and records each change in a dated timeline. A weekly refresh re-reads the sources for any page older than 25 days, and the news desk updates a page the same day a law changes status. The status badges mean: legal (no restriction on VPN use), age verification in force (VPN use is legal but age checks apply to some services), changes proposed, restricted, banned, or unclear.
