IPVanish now sells a dedicated IP address. It published the announcement on 29 October 2026. The post describes a paid add-on that reserves one IP address for one account. It is available in five locations: New York, London, Paris, Frankfurt and Tokyo. The post calls it a new product that combines “the core protection of an encrypted VPN with a stable online presence”.
Until now, IPVanish offered only shared, rotating addresses. A fixed address is the feature that business and remote-work users most often ask a VPN for.
What happened
The post says the dedicated address is “allocated solely to your account”. It supports WireGuard, OpenVPN and IKEv2. It works in the Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Android TV, Fire TV and Apple TV apps. You buy and manage it in your IPVanish account. It then shows up in the app under a Dedicated IP tab in the Locations list. You can switch between the dedicated address and the ordinary shared servers at any time in the app.
IPVanish gives three reasons to buy one:
- Fewer verification prompts, two-factor loops and CAPTCHAs on services that track IP consistency, such as banks and portals you sign in to.
- Access to networks that allowlist specific addresses, such as remote-work environments, staging servers and development databases. An allowlist lets in only approved addresses.
- The same encryption as a standard connection.
The post names no price. It does not say whether the add-on is limited to certain plans. It only calls it “an add-on to your IPVanish service”. It also does not say whether the 30-day money-back guarantee covers the add-on. IPVanish limits that guarantee to annual plans. We loaded the features page and the pricing page on 31 October 2026, and neither mentions the add-on at all.
Why it matters
Six of the twelve providers in our data now sell a dedicated address. They are NordVPN, Surfshark, ExpressVPN, CyberGhost, Private Internet Access and now IPVanish. ExpressVPN includes it in its Express Pro tier. Most of them show the price only at checkout. The one price our data records is CyberGhost’s: from $5 a month on top of a plan, on 31 October 2026. Our explainer on what a dedicated IP is compares them.
IPVanish’s cheapest plan is Essential on the 2-year term. We verified its price on 31 October 2026. It costs $2.19 a month, or $52.56 up front, and renews at $99.99 a year. The monthly plan costs $14.99. You can only see the add-on price after you sign in. That price decides whether the combination is good value. Until IPVanish prints it, we cannot compare it with its rivals.
The privacy trade-off is the same as with every dedicated IP. The encryption is the same as on a shared server. But only one customer uses a dedicated address, so every site you visit sees the same address day after day. That is what makes it useful for allowlists. It is also why it is less private than a shared pool: sites can tell it is you, because no one else uses that address.
What to do
Consider the add-on if one of these applies to you:
- You keep hitting CAPTCHAs or two-factor loops on the same accounts when you use a VPN.
- A work network only admits allowlisted addresses in one of the five launch cities.
Before paying, open your IPVanish account and read the price. Ask support whether the money-back guarantee applies to the add-on, because the launch post does not say.
Do not buy it for streaming. A dedicated address still sits in a VPN provider’s range, and we have not tested dedicated IPs with any streaming service. Do not buy it for torrenting either. IPVanish offers no port forwarding, so a fixed address changes nothing there. If privacy is why you use a VPN, keep the shared servers for everyday browsing. Switch to the dedicated address only for the logins that need it. The app lets you do that.
What we changed
Our IPVanish review already recorded the 29 October launch, the five cities and the missing price when we verified it on 31 October 2026. It now links to this report. The dedicated IP explainer lists IPVanish among the providers that sell one, and it links here too. The provider record marks the dedicated IP feature as available and carries no add-on price. The daily data refresh will add one as soon as an official page prints it.
