Windscribe Cuts Pro to $29 a Year Until 30 November

Windscribe has cut its Pro plan to $29 for the first year, down from $69, in a sale that ends on 30 November 2026. Its Black Friday page says the yearly subscription “will renew at the discounted price until you cancel”.

We found the sale on Windscribe’s homepage and site banner on 8 November and checked its pages the same day. Windscribe’s promo-codes post carried the deal from 6 November. Our Windscribe review covers the rest of the service.

What happened

Windscribe calls it the Fuchsia Friday and Cyber Monday sale. Three of its pages give the details:

• The banner across its site reads “Get Pro for $29/year. Ends Nov 30th”.
• The upgrade page behind the sale link shows “Discounted Yearly Pro” at $29.00 every 12 months, or $2.42 a month, marked “Save 58%”.
• The homepage says “Renews at $29 yearly. Forever.” The Black Friday page’s FAQ says the plan will “renew at the same discounted rate every year until you cancel”.

Only the yearly plan is discounted. The monthly plan stays at $9, and Windscribe’s plain upgrade page, without the sale link, still shows $69 a year.

Why it matters

Most Black Friday deals we track are first-term prices that rise at renewal. NordVPN Basic, for example, costs $94.23 for 27 months and then $139.08 a year. Windscribe’s regular price already stays the same at renewal, and the sale locks in a much lower one.

Counting one renewal, the sale works out at $2.42 a month over two years. Among the providers we track that state a renewal price, only PIA’s long plan, at about $2.14 a month, and hide.me’s, at $2.33, cost less.

The deal is not new. TechRadar’s Samuel Woodhams reported the same $29 price in Windscribe’s 2025 sale, which also promised to keep that price at renewal. If you miss this one, a similar deal may return, but nothing guarantees it.

Some catches apply:

• The promise to renew at $29 appears on Windscribe’s sale pages, not in its Terms of Use, which say nothing about promotional renewal prices.
• If you already pay for Pro, Windscribe’s help page says your active subscription “will need to be cancelled” before you can add another one.
• Cryptocurrency payments do not renew. The checkout calls them a “One-time payment”.
• The refund window is short. The Terms allow a refund “within 7 business days” of the start date, and only while you have used less than 10 GB.
• Support is by email and a help center. Windscribe has no live chat.

What to do

1. Use the sale link. Start from Windscribe’s homepage or its site banner, because the plain upgrade page still shows $69.
2. Pay by card or PayPal if you want the $29 renewal. A cryptocurrency payment covers one year only.
3. Check your current plan first. If you already pay for Pro, note when your paid term ends before you cancel and buy the sale plan.
4. Test it quickly. You have 7 business days and less than 10 GB of use to ask for your money back.
5. Compare before you buy. Our Black Friday VPN deals page lists every deal we track, with its renewal price.

What we changed

We added the sale to our Windscribe review, our two Windscribe comparisons and our Black Friday VPN deals page. The review and the comparisons had said that Windscribe showed no promotion. Our price tables add the sale plan from our 8 November price check, and Windscribe’s score reflects the lower price while the sale lasts.
